I don't post often, I probably should.

Today I'm a little heart-broken because our beloved pet, Pluto, finally had to leave us after the big C decided to take a tougher hold on him.

Plute, this is for you. You were the BEST dog a family could have, and we will remember you forever. 11 years in our lives, and it wasn't enough.

We love you puppies.

See you again one day.

There is no end to this lady's talent. Beautifully executed and totally believable as a mini movie.

Never have been a fan of Kid Rock, but mixing Werewolves of London and Sweet Home Alabama was inspirational ...

OK, this is already on my favourites on YouTube, but ya know, just hadta have it here right under my nose so I could watch it at any time ...

I actually had to calm down for an hour or so before writing this because I had gone from OMFG shocked/happy to OMFG shocked/balling my eyes out after watching the first ep of Doctor Who and the last ep of Torchwood.

Don't ask how I managed this, being in Australia, suffice to say that my searching skills on the internets have gotten better - and I sincerely thank the wonderful people who uploaded these eps where I could watch them.
BBC - you will not get any information from me. I will not even give a hint.

ZMG - I wish I knew when this was airing in OZ. The suspense is killing me.

11 days without the Internets - 11 days without my DW/Torchwood fix and now I am running around like a blue-assed fly trying to catch up with all the goss, fics and vids that I am behind on.

I have come to the conclusion that I will never catch up because this fandom is just too huge.

Wow, what a brilliant gig last night. Considering the man had a broken neck 2 years ago and I though he would never make it out to Oz again - and now I have seen him!

Going on holidays tomorrow, so this is the last chance I get to log on for about 10 days (oh noes). Unbelievable how I already miss LJ and wondering how I will catch up with all that time away.
I am a total Who nerd who cannot stand to miss out on any goss, and I just realized that I am going to miss my fanfic like crazy.

Forster better be good - I'm gunna miss this ...

So, Internet, phone and cable TV all down again today. That makes it about 3 times in as many months - and in the past 12 days I have only had 6 with the Internets! Gah, Optus : I lay a pox on you!

I really had a great birthday this year. Apart from the "omg I am only 2 years off 50" and the "must have my hair cut and streaked blonde again" panic attacks, I think I have settled in very well this past week. I've had time to take stock of all the gifts, and have come to the (obvious) conclusion that I am still a geek, just an older version of one.

Hubby took me to dinner at our favourite restaurant and gave me the Doctor Who Season 2 Box Set.
The eldest realized that I was never going to grow up and presented me with my very own Sonic Screwdriver pen and a (Talking) TARDIS moneybox (lol).
The youngest hoped that one day I would grow up and flourished an MP3 player under my nose.
My mother and mother-in-law knew better and gave me cash; with which I purchased Doctor Who Season 3 Box Set (ironically came out 2 days after my birthday), The Complete Doctor Who Encyclopedia, a pair of gold hoop earrings and Season 3 of Black Adder because I still can't go past Hugh Laurie being brilliant, even when House is making me want to kick the TV.

P.S. - Baked Mango Cheesecake is definitely the way to take the sting out of birthdays.

Now that I have my disappointment with commercial TV off my chest I have to share the news to everyone who is a Torchwood fan who is lucky enough to have Optus/Foxtel available.
While watching Doctor Who on UKTV last night, what should turn up on the ad break? A blank screen with DOCTOR WHO written on it which slowly morphed the letters around to finally read (wait for it) TORCHWOOD.
Thank goodness someone has used their brains at last. Channel 10's pitiful treatment of this program when it first aired was diabolical. To top it off, when trying to find out when the complete box set would be available (I was assuming mid December) I was told by Video Ezy that this was now not the case and that it has been delayed with no release date yet.
C'mon December 11 - Doctor Who followed by Torchwood - who cares if they are repeats, it is still a million times better than the crap that is on commercial TV now that the ratings period is almost over.
